Stephen R Turnham BSc FRICS – Chartered Building Surveyor
Steve qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) in 1984 and was elected a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS) in 1991. He has thirty years property and construction industry experience in the West Country and across the south of England in housing (public and private), commercial, leisure, education and retail. His professional specialisations include building surveys, building defects, building pathology and building design and he is often called upon to act in the capacity of expert witness where disputes have arisen.
Steve is married with two children and lives close to the Devon/West Somerset border in a converted chapel listed as being of special architectural and historic interest. During the late 1980's he designed his own house and project managed the construction by a local builder. Steve is a keen sportsman and (somewhat foolishly for a professional man) a shareholder in Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
Mark G Assinder BSc (Hons) MRICS – Chartered Building Surveyor
Mark qualified as a Chartered Building Surveyor in 1988. Mark has a particular interest in the architectural side of building surveying and relishes being involved in design of bespoke houses, residential extensions and conversions of existing structures. During the mid 90's Mark designed his own house and project managed the construction by skilled tradesmen – a very rewarding experience which compressed years of experience into a thirteen week build period.
Mark is married to Dana, a garden designer with a Fine Art Degree and a Royal Horticultural Society qualification. It is not unknown for them to be separately involved on the same project.
