Historical Buildings
Asssinder Turnham & Company have many decades of experience advising on the repair and conservation of historic buildings.
Britian is very rich in surviving buildings from previous centuries and is better endowed than most other countries in this respect, but it is a country which is changing rapidly and whose distinctive architectural heritage needs to be guarded sensitively. There is a broad range of traditional building materials and methods in the UK – local sandstone, limestone and granite, cob, brick, timber framing, slates, tiles, lead and thatch to name a few. Whilst we weren’t around when the Royal Institution of Chartered Sruveyors (RICS) was first mooted in 1868, we do have extensive experience of dealing sympathetically with all traditional forms of construction over the course of four decades.
Our success is based upon knowledgeable and approachable people quickly and efficiently providing good common sense advice.
